Does anyone know if the ARST Bus works in the early of May ? I've checked the website http://www.arst.sardegna.it
but without English page, I have no idea about how to Costa Smeralda from Olbia if without the car rental / taxi pickup.Can I ride the mountain bike on the road SS, SP, etc. ? is it stupid ? Many thanks for the reply if someone helps me. |

Hi, as first you can find ARST buses during all the year but they maybe don't work on may 1 and december 31. Wich town in Costa Smeralda are you reaching from Olbia by bus(Olbia airport? Olbia city center? Olbia harbour?...)? Second, you can use mountain bike in some roads (f.e. sp) but remember in ss and sr this is forbidden. Anyway, if you are able to rent a car i think it would be the best solution for your movements.

We(my girlfriend and I,2persons)are planning to visit Costa Smeralda next year(maybe 05MAY)by taking ferry to Olbia Port, then take ARST Bus(if possible)to Porto Cervo. If there can be found any boat excursions around Costa Smeralda(not the private boat rental for we all have no license, but just the excursion to see the coastline by sea for hours,join the group)and not very expensive it will be best,but we haven't find any boat excursion company till now. Do you think it possible for the boat tour? if not we'll have to rent a car. Thank you.

Ok, there's no direct line from Olbia port to Porto Cervo, you have to take the bus number 9 'Circolare Isola Bianca' wich will take you to ARST bus station (address: via Principe Umberto), and you can ask the driver wich stop you have to come down. ARST bus links Olbia and Porto Cervo, but at the moment they only have one daily link at 14.00 pm so you have to consider 1 or more night in Costa Smeralda, i think...Escursion by boat: it is possible, but tours start from Baia Sardinia (very close to Porto Cervo), Cannigione or La Conia.
