Hi. Would like to get some feedback about this new hostel in Jingi an District, Shanghai. Aside from the amenities and service, is the location convenient for travellers?

Thanks!

I suppose the location is fine as it is near the center of "old" Shanghai. But your question is focused on "travelers" so then I think you might want to be close to a transit center such as the Shanghai Railway station (Zha Bei district), the South Railway station (Xu Hui district) or the Shanghai Stadium from which many early morning tour buses to suburban water towns depart (Xu Hui district).

I actually think Jing'an District is a fine place to stay (I would not like to be stuck out by the South train station or the stadium, notwithstanding long distance bus options).

This hostel is located right along the #2 subway line, i.e. a line that runs to some of Shanghai's most desirable tourist areas (Nanjing pedestrian road, Pudong new area). Given those prices I'd give it a shot for sure.

I wouldn't advise staying near train and long-distance bus stations in China either. Staying within walking distance of a metro stop would be wise though. I think this one is a little far from the metro, but looks like it's no further than Hiker IYH is from Nanjing Donglu metro stop, so I guess it's fine.
