Liberty State Park is in Jersey City, NJ.

Is that where you want to go? Or do you want to get to the Statue of Liberty?
There is a difference.

If it is indeed Liberty State Park, have your relatives drive you to the Rive Line Light Rail station. Take the River Line to Trenton. Get on the NJ Transit train for NYC. Get off at Newark Penn Station. Walk across the platform and take the PATH over to Exchange Place station in Jersey City. Get off and take Hudson-Bergen Light Rail to Liberty State Park station. Get off. Take NJ Transit bus into the Liberty State Park.

Thanks to both of you for taking the time to reply. I do plan to get to the Statue of Liberty, but from Liberty park 'coz I feel this would be faster than travelling to NY, and then to Battery park. The route to Liberty park suggested given by Timessquare seems complicated and I dont feel confident enough. Is there any other bus. I would much rather prefer a single mode of transport.

Thanks once again.
