Hey everyone,
I am a student studying for now in IASI but I have an appointment in the UK embassy of Bucharest. The thing is, I know how to get from here to Gara de Nord but after that I just know that its somewhere around McDonalds but I really dont know the directions. If anyone of you can please point me in the directions towards the UK Embassy from Gara de Nord. I have a map so I guess it would be easier for me to go to any piata around. And yeah, I plan to walk rather than to take a cab or a bus.

You don't have to walk all the way, you can simply take the subway from Gara de Nord to Piata Romana station (you'll have to change from line M1 to line M2 at Piata Victoriei station) and then walk just a bit.

However, if you want to walk the whole way, it's like this:
-start on the Calea Grivitei road (which is right next to Gara de Nord train station), heading towards the downtown, until you get to Dacia boulevard;
-walk on Dacia boulevard to the east until you get to Piata Romana square;
-from there head south on Gheorghe Magheru boulevard, walking on the side with several fast food places (including a McDonalds);
-right after the first crossroad you'll see the Jules Michelet street (the one blocked to traffic) where the UK embassy is located;

If I am not asking enough, I also wanted to know the place for Turkish Embassy since I am going to transit through it sooner or later. So I just want to know the visa details. If anyone of you can direct me to it, Ill go on my way back through it and finish up all the stuffs once and for all. I live in Iasi and its hard for me to go now and then to Bucharest.

It's very simple, as the Turkey Embassy in Bucharest (72 Calea Dorobantilor) is located near the British Council (use the same map provided by leics).
