Hello- I will be moving from california to seattle to attend UW. I was wondering if I should bring my car. Is it possible to get by without a car or should I bring it with me?

Public transit in Seattle is not very good if you leave the city... but if you plan to stay in the city then you wont need a car. My brother went to the UW and hardy ever drove. I recommend getting a friend with a car for trips to Costco and road trips!

I would bring your car 100%. You can live off t.v. dinners, but why if you can afford a steak dinner? lol I hope you get my point. Sure you can, but I can promise you that you will enjoy yourself 100% more if you have your own car.

I agree with Jonathan.
The amazing things to do and see around Seattle with an already owned car are very worthwhile. One thing is the ability to go to Canada where the age to drink is 19. You are going to college where one non taught lesson is to learn your boundries, freedom to move about gives you more of that. The quickest experience is when to learn to NOT DRIVE. Maturity can easily be measured by proper decisions when your ability to think is impaired. Sorry to sound like a Preacher but, since you are going to college you have already had these thought and repetition never hurts.
