Hi, in August I will be going to visit my husband who is stationed at Kunsan AB. Can anyone tell me the fastest way to get from the airport to Kunsan AB?

That depends on what time your flight lands. The quickest way would be to fly depending on what time you land. As soon as you get your bags and clear customs, go to either the Korean Airlines or Asiana Airlines ticket counter and purchase a ticket (approximately $30) for the next available flight to Kunsan City. There is one morning and evening KAL flight from Inchon to Kunsan City every day. Asiana has a morning flight into Kunsan.

If you can't get either of those flights, you will have to make your way to Osan AB (about a 90 minute bus ride) and then catch the Rec Bus or the Wolf Pack Wheels bus to Kunsan. The way to do this is as follows:

There is a bus that leaves 3 times a day from exit 14A that goes direct to Kunsan. I am not sure the cost of that one (between $25 and $50), but ask at the USO counter...located at the exit. If you miss that bus, the recreation center offers a shuttle bus to Osan AB, tickets cost $15. From there, purchase a $10 Wolf Pack Wheels bus ticket from the recreation center. That leaves Osan at 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 5 and 10 p.m. Friday, and 4 and 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Having said all that, if your husband knows you are coming, it may be better for him to meet you at the airport and you both spend the night in Seoul and then make your way to Kunsan the next day by express bus.

Thanks for all the good info. I don't know my flights yet so I am going to print all of that out. Yes, my husband knows I am coming and I think a night in Seoul would be great if we could swing it with him being away from base for a night.

hey i am actually flying to korea to see my husband in august too! hes in kunsan as well and i heard at the incheon airport is a USO center to get a bus ticket to the base which may or may not be about $50? well if i have any other details i will inform you hope this helps. good luck:)
