I am a solo traveler and I have a layover in Amsterdam that is overnight and I am wondering if it is safe to stay in the Amsterdam airport overnight. Also, is it safe to nap in the airport?

If you believe it is unsafe, do you know of any hostels near the hotel that are reasonably priced?

For a hostel you have to travel to Amsterdam (20 minutes by train; 10 minutes walking).

It might be possible to sleep at the transfer area, but normally there are no flights for 5 hours after midnight and the place is kept as empty as possible.
From 3 AM travellers for early holiday charters will keep you awake.

many of the large airport have lounges that look just like the ones that the airlines have for there passengers that have a membership with the airline. these other lounges will sell you a 24 hour membership.
