I htink it REALLY depends on the kids. all the snake charming and strange stuffed animals in the shops could be intriguing for them (if they are like my two.. who would probbaly want a stuffed vulture as a souvenir)

hi there
a taxi for your family should cost between 80 and 100 dirhams.most riads offer a service to collect clients so you can probably ask them to organise it for you and save the hassle...also they will tell you exactly how much it costs.trust me your kids will not be bored in marrakech.the sites sounds and people will make sure of that.djemaa el fna is a great place to see performers and exotic creatures.there are some really good parks for kids like jardin harti in gueliz a new part of the city to the west of the medina.one word of warning, watch your kids while walking through the narrow alleyways and streets of the old city as traffic can be a bit crazy and its so easy to step out in front of a moped.keep them in front of you at all times. have a great time in this truly unique and magnificent city.

Hi! At the airport, there is a board outside the arrivals hall with fixed prices for taxi fares to Marrakech and beyond. Check with your driver that this is the agreed price, and no extras for number of bags etc. Learn a few words of Berber or Moroccan Arabic- such as hello (lekum),Please ('afak) Thank You (Shukran) oh and - I don't understand -(mafhemtsh)prior to departure and you might get a better deal - it usually worked for me!
Also have the name of your accommodation, and address, written on a piece of paper - if your driver doesn't recognise it, he'll probably ask advise from other taxi drivers, or passers by etc en route. Things for your children- there was a similar question recently in this forum by tcheuki, with some good advise - click onto Marrakesh forum to read the replies. Please feel free to contact me again for more info. Have A Great trip - look forward to reading all about it! Best Wishes, Sue
