We are a belgian couple that travels for the first time to Maine. We want to stay in Portland for one night in a small qieut hotel or B&B before leaving to camp out in Nature. Can anybody help us finding a place to stay (the 31th of Juli)
thank you very much Pia |

I can't really think of a quiet little hotel in Portland. You probably have to venture out a bit more. Which direction are you heading after arriving in Portland, north? I will say that the Hampton Inn in at Saco/Old Orchard Beach was quiet. It is not too far from the airport. It is also one of the better priced hotels. If you want to experience something fun, go to Becky's Diner for breakfast or lunch. It is a lot of fun. www.beckysdiner.com. The fish sandwich is very good. It is located down by the water in downtown Portland.
