a) Chengde b) Qin Huang Dao |

If it is worth going, would like to know what is the best mode transportation to reach both places from Tianjin and how long is the travel time?

Both are reachable by train.
Tianjin -- Chengde: 4412/4413 (1940--0442) 9h02min Tianjin -- Qinhuangdao: Plenty of departures from 0203 to 2255. Journey time varies from 2h36min to 4h44min; most trains take around 3-3.5 hours.
