Copenhagen Sunday on Copenhagen - Everything open ?
Posted: Thu June 26, 2008 07:29 AM UTC
Hi:

I will be there in Copenhagen in July on 5th (Sat)- 6th (Sun) and want to do all the typical touristy things (Museums, canal tours, bus tours etc). While all the relevant websites did not mention anything closed on Sunday, just want to be sure whether anything or any transport remains closed on Sundays.

Thanks in advance.

Some of the locals will be able to provide you with better information than I, however, I am pleased to say that you may wish to schedule a visit to Nycarlsberg Gliptotek (?spell) on Sunday morning as it is free admission on Sundays.

i just came back from Copenhagen, but we stayed Wed thru Sat. However, you gotta go to Les Trois Cochons, the best damn French restaurant i've been to! Located on Vearnedamsvej 10, Copenhagen 1619, tel. +45 33 31 70 55. Walk on the north side of Vesterbrogade, west of the Copenhagen main rail station, for about 10 blocks or so, then make a right. Reservations are strongly suggested. Their menu, for 2 people, is 3 smaller appetizers, 2 entrees (of the same dish), and 3 smaller desserts. The food was exquisite, the lovely young wait staff was earnest and timely without be interruptive. The combined cost for 2 people was only 500DKK (125 USD)!! We added a pot of coffee for 30 DKK (8 USD) to go with desserts. Not only was there enough food for 3 people, but it was high quality. A VT pal, a Copenhagen native, recommended it to us, and I'm passing it on to you. and don't step into the bicycle lanes without looking! also, go and see Round Tower, off Stroget.
