I am going to Sa Pa late september, I would like to know if there is any malarya risk, to get some tablets with me or not. Cheers! Jon |

From my understanding, the risk of Malaria in Vietnam is relatively low. We toured Sapa in March and was not concerned about Malaria at all. Took basic precautions against mosquito bites.
Malaria is mainly found in the central highlands, where a choice between Malarone, Lariam and Doxycycline is recommended. There is strong resistance against Chloroquine.
