Munich Looking for a good area to stay for night life
Posted: Tue June 24, 2008 03:47 PM UTC
Hello,

I am looking for an area in Munich that would be great for nightlife with bars and restaurants. This is for age 20's, and if you have any hotel suggestions, that would be appreciated.

Many thanks

The suburb of Schwabing is good for nightlife and all you need. It is the big area around the major buildings of the university.

I have googled rather a good hotel list, and most hotels in the upper half are at very good locations:

http://www.munich-info.de/hotels/lists/schwabingHotel_de.html

At the end of each hotel description you see a location map. Perfect locations are around the U-Bahn stations Münchner Freiheit, Giselastraße, Universität. Perfect streets are Schellingstraße, Türkenstraße, Theresienstraße, Hohenzollernstraße - all streets left of Leopoldstraße, and right of (or not too far left of) Schleißheimer Straße, generally spoken. Of the cheap hotels Apart Gästehaus is at a good location.
