I have been coming to the keys for about 5 years now. I have seen all the hot spots. I'm looking for where the locals hang out. The hidden hot spots. I will be down on 7/10/08 Any help would be great.

We just returned from a short visit and had a great time at Virgulios (sp?) on a monday night - half-priced martinis and a great jazz band - many in the crowd were workers at other restaurants. Also loved Santiago's Bodega, which was off the beaten path, and had excellent tapas at reasonable prices, unlike many other restaurants there. We also heard about a place called Bubba's, which featured barbecue and blues music in a converted gas station, but did not have time to check that out...
