Mazatlán do they have the red big taxi's at the airport?
Posted: Tue June 24, 2008 05:56 AM UTC
five in my group are arriving wed the 25th. Headed for emerald bay and looking for a taxi to hold us and our luggage. I figured it must be cheaper to get a taxi
ride unless they charge per person. Thanks for any suggestions.

You are charged by the type of taxi, meaning if there are two people and you are in a small cab it is about 26 USD, but they do have van taxis also which could handle your group and they cost in the area of 45 to 50 USD for a group of 4 or more, you can always take the bus that goes to the hotel which is very inexpensive but you will hear all about time shares on your way in so if you do not mind that then it is a good deal.

No. There is a local tour company that will provide round trip service, airport to hotel for $28.00 U.S... King David Tours at, http://www.kingdavid.com.mx/
I highly recommend them.
Beware of timeshare sales people they are everywhere. Sometimes 4 in one block, takes the enjoyment out of walking around the streets shopping. Even in the stores they accosted us, in the restaurants they interrupted our meal to sell us a timeshare. They spoiled my trip.
