Is it possible to arrange for a driver guide to meet me whrn I get off the train in Agra. I will only wish to spend the day there and return to Delhi in the evening.

It is possible,but it would be cheaper to take a taxi,especially since you are there for just a day.Take a registered call taxi(where the rates are pre-fixed)It would also make better sense to browse through and make a list of the places you wish to see before hand and not let the driver decide for you.You may just make a few changes based on the driver's suggestions.
