Taipei How hot is Taipei in July?
Posted: Mon June 23, 2008 04:50 PM UTC
How hot is it exactly in Taipei in July? I'm going there on the 13th of July.. would it be say as hot as Singapore? Also, attire wise is shorts and slippers considered weird there??

I'll be going with my gf's for some shopping, so far I know Shilin, Raohe, Wufenpu, Taipei 101 area and Ximending, Taipei Main Station Underground mall, is there anywhere else we could check out? :)

THANKS! :)

Trying to predict the weather can be difficult because of local on the day variations.
This information should be used as a guide only.
Here is the average weather for Taipei for this time of year.
Enjoy your holiday.

July.

Hi, this is my trusted guide always: http://www.cwb.gov.tw/V5e/index.htm

Shorts and slippers are alright i think, but I realised that people tend to dress slightly nice (i.e. no short short/tank tops, beach-type flip flops) I wore my Havanas tho - felt ok. I guess it's to dress appropriately and of course, comfort. :)

My main shopping spots were Wu Fen Pu and this shoe shop called Ficce (this is a chain). 101 is where you'll find your Ferragamos and LVs. XMD is kinda like a huge Far East Plaza. Taipei Main Station is kinda like Far East Plaza and Lucky Plaza mixed in one. The thing i liked about Taipei Main Stn is their book street. Books there are cheaper than Eslite - of course variety is also slightly limited.

Shilin and Raohe are night mkts and always great fun to see what's happening (food, clothes etc).

Check this site out for detailed maps surrouding MRT stations: http://english.trtc.com.tw/index.asp

have fun!
