Benidorm Weekend of b03/04 Oct
Posted: Mon June 23, 2008 04:39 PM UTC
Hi
Thinking of taking a two night weekend in Benidorm but a number of the hotels I'm looking at are already full or want a minimum of 3 nights (eg Melia).

Can anyone explain why??

Thanks

Not sure why Rammy. Have a look at travelsupermarket. It's showing loads available for 2 nights. Will post a link for you, Darren.

Could it be that larger hotels like those in the Melia chain take block bookings via travel agencies that offer packages etc and really may not have accommodation at that time, or do not want to risk losing a full week booking?

Could be festival time. Why dont you check at Melia hotels webpage? They have never asked me in the past to stay more than 2 nights (only apartments for rent do that! and on high season)

From the 1st till the 5th of october is the Moors & Christians Festival. If you can make it, do not hesitate is very spectacular festival (at least the ones I had seen in other cities of Valencia area)

I just looked in some spanish hotel websites (well it is always nice to take a break and enjoy a festival at the same time hehehe) and there are hotels only for two nights, but nothing cheaper than 50 euros per night :(

I can't understand that really, we often go for a weekend and have never had a problem. I always book through xcapewithus.com, travelrepublic.co.uk or alpharooms.com. Just had a quick look on xcapewithus and there appears to be lots on offer for October so it might be worth looking at them. Hope that helps, have a great time.
