Hi

I will be visiting chicago next month and I would like to visit a church in downtown Chicago..are there any churches in chicago downtown? thanks

Yes. St. Peter's is on Madison west of State Street. And Holy Name Cathedral is right by the Water Tower, at State Street and Superior.

Old St. Pat's Catholic Church, 700 W. Adams (Adams & Desplaines), is the oldest church in Chicago and one of the few buildings to survive the Chicago Fire.

There is a church on Michigan ave."The Fourth Presbyterian". If you travel a little further North you can see the beautiful "St. Michaels Catholic Church" which is now a Historical Site.
