The CFR's (Romanian railways) timetables site is http://infofer.ro/ - I hope this is the one you were trying to use (it's true that it isn't always working perfectly, but if you keep trying eventually it works).
Right now there are 5 trains daily from Bucharest to Iasi. They all leave from Bucharest North station respectively at: -6AM (train #551, InterCity type); -12AM (train #13661, Rapid type); -4PM (train #1661, Accelerat type -this one is the cheapest); -6PM (train #561, InterCity type -this one is the fastest) -11PM ( train #663, Rapid type - this one is a night train, so it also has sleepers). They all get to Iasi in about 6 1/2 -7 hours, except the #561 train which should get there in less than 6 hours.

If for some reason www.infofer.ro is not working, you can also try www.bahn.de (remember to enter "Bucuresti" for Bucharest), which gives the same schedule but unlike www.infofer.ro doesn't show ticket prices.
