Munich ATM machines in Airport
Posted: Sun June 22, 2008 03:48 AM UTC
Is it less expensive to convert dollars to uros using a ATM card that has a conversion fee on a ATM machine, or using a charge card that has no conversion fee on a MVV machine at the Munich Airport? Also, I assume that MVV machines can be throughout the city of Munich?

The MVV machines at the airport (but only there!!!) accept also credit cards. This will be your best option when arriving at the airport.

Otherwise withdraw cash from ATMs.

There are MVV machines all over the city. But you will need cash for them, as you won't have the type of cards they are accepting.

Honestly - no idea what you're talking about on this.

If you have a Bank Of America ATM card here is no conversion fee to get euros at any Deutsche Bank ATM in Germany. It is part of their international agreements. Go here to find the locations of their ATMs in any German city. I'm sure they have an ATM at the airport. Also, there is one located downtown at Marienplatz directly across from city hall.

The MVV machines at Munich airport will accept non-German credit cards, but I don't think other machines around the city will accept them. It's good idea to keep a pocket full of 2 euro coins for vending machines, etc.
