My two children (12 & 17) & I will be arriving at SAN late in the evening in mid-July - in between 9:30 & 10:00. I am trying to find a hotel for one night, but they are all so expensive. I started looking farther away, but then wondered if the taxi cost would bring the price up too much. I just can't decide what would be best... I want to stay under $100, and it would be nice to have an airport shuttle. Please help!

Pretty hard to find something at that price and close to the airport. Best bet is around Hotel Circle or Old Town. You might also try Price Line or Hotels.com
