angola is still closely connected to portugal, so euros will almost certainly be a better currency than dollars.

The official currency is the Kwanza and I do not like to cotradict the previous reply but it would seem that US dollars are acceptable. See:-

It used to be that Dollars were King. Still are for me anyway, but Euros now run along side in many many places. The question is - what is your home currency? It makes no sense for Eurozone and Americans to buy each others currency and then go to a 3rd currency.

Hi all,
like the guys said euro is now accepeted in many places but i advice you to have dollars as they are more popular you can even change them in the street and there are many places who will accept only dollars beside kewanza. Regards, Issa
