Thank-you all for answering my questions so quickly. It will come in handy. Here then are some very specific questions.
1. How does one get from the cruise ship terminal to the metro station? 2. How much will the cost of the metro be from the port station to the Acropolis station? 3. Other than the Acropolis and the surrounding shops, restaurants, and the museum are there any other must see or do sites when in Athens? 4. Is the walk from the cruise ship terminal to the metro station safe and are there shops and restaurants on the way? I will thank-you in advance for all your help. |

1. After you exit the peir, turn left and walk along the waterfront, when you see a pedestrian overpass, use the overpass and you are at the train station it's the light yellow color building.
2. It cost .80 euros one way. 3. I recommend see the changing of the guards at the parliament building. Also see other VT members' Athens page for things to do. 4. The walk is very safe especially at daytime and there are shops and restaurants on the otherside of the street. Actually, you will be walking with other cruise ship passengers. Don't worry. Enjoy Athens.
