| Guilin | Getting From Huangshan to Guilin Posted: Thu June 19, 2008 01:59 PM UTC
Hi everyone,
My plan is to travel from Huangshan to Guilin in early August, however I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out exactly how to do so. It doesn't seem that direct flights are available between the two cities. Any flight or train information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! |

english.ctrip.com says to fly via Shanghai.
http://www.travelchinaguide.com/china-trains/ offers direct train K155 depart Huangshan 23:08 arrive Guilin 16:25 journey time 17h17m. Hard sleeper about 280 RMB, soft sleeper about 420 RMB

I would suggest routing via Hangzhou instead. It only takes about 3 hours from Huangshan city to Hangzhou by bus, whereas it takes about 10 hours from Huangshan city to Shanghai by train. Hangzhou also has a number of flights to Guilin.
