San Gimignano San Gimignano to Florence by train? Any ideas?

Hi! I was just wondering if anyone has taken the train from San Gimignano to Florence. Where is the train station located in San Gimignano? I've been there before, but I don't remember ever seeing it. Also, do I have to change trains anywhere? Thank you for your help!

... because there isn't one. You'll have to take the bus.

And you'll probably have to change buses in Poggibonsi.

Timetable info here:

http://www.sangimignano.net/bus/

Timetable for Florence>Poggibonsi:

http://www.sitabus.it/wps/portal

then choose 'Toscana' from the drop-down menu, then 'Linea Firenze-Siena', which will give you a PDF leaflet.

Alternatively, get the train to Poggibonsi then the bus to S. Gim.

the wife and I stayed in Florence in 2006. we just waltzed over to the bus station (16 platforms!) and bought tickets for San Gimignano. I recall it was about a 1 hour trip. SG is a walled city with alot of overpriced leather shops, but it is dee-lightful. we were having a cappuccino in the gorgeous piazza when we heard heavenly harp music. Then I heard a trippingly light female voice. I turned to see a beautiful young woman singing while she was playing her harp!! I thought I had already died and gone to heaven!
