Hi!!! Can somebody help me? I will arrive to Beijing this Saturday morning at 11 o clock from UK but I have to go to Shanghai the same day and I have some questions:
1- Which is the best option to go to train station from airport?
2- Can I buy the ticket in advance?

Unless you have your heart set on train travel, the best way is to just get a plane at the Beijing airport to Shanghai. You may actually be able to get a plane to SHA, the old Shanghai airport that is closer to the western (older and more interesting) part of Shanghai. You can easily get information on a flight and purchase a ticket in the airport. An alternative is to buy a ticket on Shanghai Air before leaving on the internet through Kayak or Orbitz or any other site.

Train takes min of 12hrs from Beijing to Shanghai. Don't think you can reach Shanghai same day after your arrival in Beijing.
If you want to be on SAME DAY in Beijing, you need to take a flight.After arrival in Beijing, you can buy an air ticket to Shanghai and in my opinion advance reservation is not necessary.
To see different airlines and their scehdules that fly from Beijing to Shanghai , you can logon to wwww.elong.com.You can know airfares too.

If you are keen to travel only by train and not worry of SAME DAY reaching Shanghai, you can take one of the fast trains(Z-trains).

Do you have to arrive on the same day? If you do, the only choice is flight. No overland transport will get you to Shanghai on the same day.
