| Northamptonshire | Where to stay near Silverstone. Posted: Thu June 19, 2008 12:03 AM UTC
We are taking my Mother and Father in-law to Silverstone to watch bike racing in September & are not too sure where to stay. We want to be within 10-20 miles of the circuit and be somewhere that has shopping for the ladies, more market town than shopping mall.
We also require some good restaurants & a nice quaint hotel. I have Bicester in my head but not sure if it would be suitable. Any ideas? Andy. |

Bicester has a thumping great Factory Outlet village nearby. Friends of mine who go to Silverstone say it's good for that type of shopping.
The other nearby towns, Brackley, Banbury, Buckingham, Towcester etc I have not visited for a while, but I have a nasty feeling (others will disagree) that they have probably become identikit English town centres. My biking mates say that getting somewhere to stay within 120 miles is the biggest issue!
