Dublin	July 6,7 & 8 in Dublin area Posted: Wed June 18, 2008 07:46 AM UTC My husband and I are heading to Ireland July 5th from Canada. We have 3 days on our own and land in Dublin. We are not big city people and are looking for suggestions where to stay to enjoy some local culture and history before we link up with a CIE Tour which visits Glendalough, Waterford, Blarney, Lakes of Killarney, Ring of Kerry, Cliffs of Moher and Galway, Connemara and Westport, and ends in Malahide. As we will be touring we would prefer a location where we could get some walking in, relax and access the DART as we have to meet our tour in Dublin on the 9th. I would suggest staying outside of Dublin in a town like Bray which is only 12 miles from the city and on the DART line. You could stay in a B+B or Hotel on the seafront which has lovely views, access to Bray Head for walking (try the Cliff Walk from Bray to Greystones, or climb up the Head to the cross), is near the DART station, and has several restaurants nearby.
