Hi there
Lived in Cancun years ago - Coco Bongo used to be one of the best clubs to go to - I assume it's still there! There are loads of bars and restaurants to choose from and lots to do. I recommend doing the "Jungle Tour" (snorkelling and jet ski), Xcaret (can swim with dolphins here), Xel Ha (dolphins too, I think), Chichen Itza (Mayan ruins, if you like history), Isla Mujeres (small island), Cozumel (good for snorkelling, diving). If you have booked a package trip, your hotel rep will give you a welcome meeting and will tell you all the trips you can do. Have a good time!

There's a rocking little bar and restaurant called Carlos and Charlies. Your family can eat there and then you can slip over to the bar side. They have one in Cozumel, too. I have great memories of both places.

50 pesos admission for Coco Bongo, but you have to wait for about half hour.
Opposite there have two discos, 15 USD and 20 USD for admission with open bar.

I've never stayed in Cancun but if you wanted to go south for a day trip you can't go wrong with Hidden Worlds. It's a jungle adventure park with beautiful cenotes for snorkeling and diving, and then some! My whole family loves this place and we just keep going back. They have fantastic zip lines, rappeling, skycycling and more. Then there are XelHa and Xcaret, of course, but we've visited both and think they're very overrated and way too busy. One thing my boys (they're around your age) want to try next is kite-surfing which we saw on our last trip on the beach in Tulum - looks like great fun! Then of course there's wonderful reef snorkeling all along the coast - you can just swim out if you have your own gear, or go with one of the many dive shops. Hope you have a great time.

There's a lot to do in Cancun. There are the water sports- from scuba to snorkeling, to fishing, waterskiing, jetskiing, etc. There are the Mayan ruins, the water park, Xcaret, swimming with dolphins, and a lot more. There are many nightclubs like Cocobongos, Sr. Frogs, Carlos and Charlies, etc. You won't have a lack of things to do there, especially if you're outgoing! Lots of people to party with! There is a good write up of activities at www.stayincancun.com/thingstodo.asp
