| Vancouver | Buying cheap Coach handbags at Vancouver Posted: Wed June 18, 2008 01:36 AM UTC
I will be visiting Vancouver in July 2008. My wife is looking for places in or around Vancouver which sell handbags (Coach brand in particular) at cheap warehouse prices like in the US.
Do you know of any shops or places in or around Vancouver which sell Coach handbags at the cheap warehouse prices? Regards Victor |

There is a Coach outlet store in Washington State, about 75 miles south across the border.
There is a Chinese Night Market that may have that but, I haven't been yet this year

Realistically, you will not find the same cheap warehouse/outlet prices in and around Vancouver unless you go to the USA. We just don't have the same deals here.
As previously mentioned, there's a Coach outlet store at Seattle Premium Outlets in Tulalip, Washington.

Thanks a lot for the information!
The problem is that my wife is an indonesia citizen and she needs a US visa to enter USA. This will be too big a hassle considering the effort and cost involved in applying for a US visa (in addition to a Canada visa, which she is currently applying now). Regards Victor

I understand, it's a hassle.
Because of that, I'd maybe just focus less on trying to find good bargains for designer handbags and instead splurge on good restaurants in Vancouver instead. You can eat very, very well in this city for a fraction of the price you'd pay for a similar experience in the USA. ;)

Besides restaurants, what are the good stuff to buy in Vancouver to bring back home?
My wife just went to the Canadian High Commission in Singapore this morning, her Canada visa should be ready next week :)

Vancouver is not a great shopping city. Prices are high, selection is limited, and service is poor. I'd suggest concentrating on the things that the city does well, such as the restaurant scene mentioned earlier, or the outddor sporting activities.

Thanks for the additional information!
As for real estate, I have too many of them all over the world already (haha!)

Hi We went on 27th June'07 the Holland American cruise , not as big as Norweigan Sun as we parked next to it at one of the ports, however you will have a fantastic time. As for swimming pools there were 2 good pools on our ship, we did not go in as they were full of school kids, it must have been school holidays.
We found the in port tours to be expensive, like approx $ 100 on a whale watching cruise, but we only saw 2 whales over 1 mile away for a few seconds. Just check out what you get. One tour I recommend is the Train Trip up the Clondike rail, very spectacular and reasonably priced. Make sure you do this. We bought some bags in Robson Street, Vancouver, a good bag shop over the road from the Blue Horizon Hotel. Check out my Vancouver pages. Good Luck, Mike
