Could somebody tell me if it is possible to get a private visa at the Minsk airport, or if I should have the visa from an embassy before I leave? According to this website http://www.mfa.gov.by/en/consular/airport-visas/ it looks quite difficult, but I don't know if this info is updated.

yes thatīs right, itīs not the easiest way to get Belarus visa. if you have belarusīembassy in your country customs officerīd ask you : -whatīs sort of emergency do you have, and why didīt you try ordinary way to get visa?
