I love your coleslaw. Is it possible to get the ingredients or recipe so I can make it at home? I am diabetic and am always looking for foods good for me. I find the flavors or your slaw wonderful

There is no lettuce and little or no sugar in coleslaw, so ignore the recipe above.
I am not sure where you had coleslaw, but there are many different varieties of it. Some I love, some are so-so. Coleslaw is always made of cabbage, and usually has some carrots and onion in it. The basic recipe would call for mayonnaise, vinegar, salt and pepper, and often a small amount of sugar Unfortunately I am out of town for the summer, and I do not have my recipe with me. I pulled the following recipe off the web. I thought it might work for you as it has NO sugar in it, so you might try this recipe and see if it is anything like what you had. If it is too tart, and you can have a small amount of surgar in your diet, I would try adding a little sugar. If not do a web search, there are many different varieties out there to try. All-American Cole Slaw 1 ½ lb green cabbage, quartered, cored and shredded 3 tablespoon cider or malt vinegar 2/3 cup mayonnaise 1 small onion grated (optional) 2 medium carrots pealed, and grated ¼ teaspoon salt or to taste In a large mixing bowl, toss the cabbage with the vinegar and salt. Grate the carrots and optional onion directly into the bowl. Add the mayonnaise and toss well. The slaw can be served immediately, but it is much better, more melded and tender, if allowed to stand and tossed occasionally for 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Since you are brand new to VT, if you really wanted a good answer to this question, it should have been posted in the Miscellaneous Forum, not the Travel Forum, as this is not a travel question.
