| Alicante | Lakes and Parks? Posted: Mon June 16, 2008 02:24 PM UTC
Are there any lakes close to Alicante that are safe to swim in?
I'm also on the lookout for a park with grass to sit on? |

No Idea on lakes im afraid, but if you want somewhere to sit enjoy sun and water i highly recommend Playa De San Juan, is a 20-30 min bus ride along coast from alicante and is an incredible beach. Should be pictures on net somewhere!

There are some large reservoirs in the mountains, one above Villajoyosa and another in Guadalest. Not sure about swimming there, most Alicantinos either swim in a pool or the sea. Grassy parks, try Parque Morant, just north of the Gran Via near Los Angeles, the University of Alicante in San Vicente, or maybe the Palmera on the way out of town toward Ciudad del Luz or the Airport. A side note - you can take the tram to playa San Juan from the Central Market now as well as busses.
