There's 7 species of marine turtle and 5 of them come to nest in Sri Lanka but while Tangalle and around is generally a good place to see them, August is maybe the worst month for it.

I could well be wrong, I'm told some nest year round and although I know this area reasonably well I'm certainly no Turtle expert.
