Did you seriously review Ruby Tuesdays, a national chain. I have two of them in Toledo. I want to know about local dining establishments.

Who are you talking to? If it's someone who reported on restaurants in their Travel Page, you might want to bear in mind that tourists don't necessarily know what you have in Toledo, but report on what they don't have back home! I bet if you visited my city you wouldn't know what was a national chain and what wasn't!

Named after the Rolling Stones song, no doubt?

I've always wanted to open a bar on a Mainstreet and call it "Exile".

...maybe an e-mail to that person might be more effective than whining like a little b*&^# on their period?

Have you even been to Hampton, Virginia? There aren't a whole lot of options there other than chains, odd for a town of some 150,000 people. I've spent a lot of time on a stool at Hooters and am thinking about writing a tip on that fine establishment.

As a general rule, I don't review chains on VT (or even go to chains for that matter), but I have no problem with a random review here and there, especially if one particular location is unique in its service, decor, location, etc.

Have you noticed 3 of the 10 Toledo restaurant tips on VT are national chains: Spaghetti Warehouse, Lonestar, and Carrabba's...

Happy eating!

Joe

The best part about Virtual Tourist is that people have manners and respect other peoples opinions and do their best to give helpful, honest and constructive advice based on their experience. We are all different.

Sometimes for travellers (especially overseas ones) going to chain stores is as exciting as going to a fancy place. Let people review whatever they want. If you don't like their reviews just leave their pages.

Leave the juvenile whinging to the kids websites.

I didn't know that they had Ruby Tuesdays in Spain. Let alone two of them in one, historic city. And that's great that you own both. Congratulations on the success!
But, yes, I did review it and I'll do it again. Bwa-ha-ha!

Any "reviews" far exceed the amount of information that you have contributed to the VT community. We look forward to reviews of some fine local eating establishments visited during your travels.
