Hi im going to the gambia in november, i have been to kenya is it simular,has anybody stayed at the palmer rima. thank you

I would say it was not similar, personally: West African climate, people, animals etc. are pretty different from those of East Africa. But then I am not sure what your criteria for comparison might be: would you say Spain was similar to Greece?

I would recommend taking everything you need with you. Toiletries are moere expensive than in the UK and choices may be limited. With regards to sanitary products definitely DO NOT leave that to chance as you will not find tampons and any sanitary towels you find will be like nappies.

Not to recommend hotel "Saint Francisco" in Fajara/Gambia! hotel has either bad Security or employees. I was robbed to my room in the night sleep. Very annoyingly!
Hotel "St.Francisco" in Fajara/Gambia nicht zu empfehlen!
Das hotel hat entweder schlechte Security oder Mitarbeiter. Ich wurde im meinem Zimmer in der Nachtschlaf ausgeraubt. Sehr ärgerlich!
