toiltries are quite expensive. You have to bear in mind that all these things have to be imported. So it's definately better to take it along.
Most of the (western) clothes are made n China. If you like that, you can buy there. But I wouldn't waste my time with that. The Gambia is not really a country fro shopping. Some articles are cheeper, but all in all there are other atrractions. Anyway, silver has reasonable prices.

I would recommend you take whatever you need with you as toiletries are limited and expensive. As for clothes I would suggest taking those with you too. I didn't see anywhere to buy clothes except the market.
