Hi everyone , we are heading to KL shortly and were wondering do you haggle at the main shopping centres or is that reserved only for the markets ? Only have two days to quench the wifes shopping desires so any tip would be most welcomed . And yes , i will be the "mule" carrying all the shoes , handbags , clothing etc ..........Thanks in advance, Darryl

The large shoping centers are very much like western malls, not much haggling but the markets its all up to you, Sunway lagoon area has a lot of malls.

Mid Valley Mall was once considered Asia's largest mall. Not sure now. Good to spend time there. China Town has lot of collections of different items at a cheaper price.

The main shopping centres eg KLCC, Mid Valley mall, BB Plaza with the designated shops are fix in pricing (but not a general rule as some independent shopowners eg camera shops, handphone shops do allow a "discount"). Always ask them whether it is the Best Price. That will be an indicator whether you can haggle or not
Cheap (and quality maybe of suspect) - ChinaTown (aka Petaling Street) Reasonable (and of good quality) - BB Plaza, Sungai Wang, Imbi Plaza and vicinity Reasonable (outskirts of KL)- Mid Valley, Sunway, One Utama (and the Curve), Up Market (and prices vary )- The Gardens, Pavillion, StarHill, With two days, you are not going to make it thru all the malls. My Suggestion Day one - Morning Afternoon BB Plaza, Sungai Wang
