Kiev funds?

I will be traveling to Kiev for vacation last week in August and 1st week in Sept. I have acquired an apartment. My question is how much US $ can I bring into country. I wish to pay apartment and have my vacations funds in cash. if possible I do not wish to use Credit cards. any information about currenies limits will be appreciated

here you can find all kind of info about Ukraine.
last time i was there any amount abve 1000 $ must be tmentioned to customs.
you can use creditcard in most big cities, certainly in Kiyv.

thanks for the reply, today I checked with the American Citizen Service,
The total amout is $15,000 in and only $3000 out. The amount of $1000 or more must be declared at customs on entery into country. It is my understand that the $15,00. is a total of cash and or Cashier checks.

No visa required for US citizens,

You can go thru green line if your carring $3000 , or less.

Plan your expenses ,, on a budget,

You really do want to bring in alot of cash.. In kive there are Atm aviable,
