There is buses and taxis from Hotel Dynasty to Chinatown. For more stuff to see, it's best that you go around 7.00pm onwards.
Central Market is nearer to Chinatown. If you want to go to Merdeka Square, it would require some walking distance. The night scene of these places is great. I never try buying perfume there. Normally I will get it from shopping malls and authorised dealers rather than from the stalls. Have a nice trip.

Buses and taxis can bring you to Chinatown easily. Check with your hotel for bus routes. Chinatown would be known as 'Petaling St' to most taxi drivers. THere is also a monorail and LRT station about 10mins away from Dynasty Hotel. From there you can hop on a train to Plaza Rakyat station which is also a short walk away from Petaling St.
The best buys from Petaling St would probably be DVDs and other imitation stuffs. Bargain hard! Try out the famous 'tau foo fa' at the corner facing Coffee Bean. Central Market is a 5 min walk away and is a place to shop for handicrafts.
