Hello,
I am planning a side trip from S.India to Maldives in Jan 2009. We are hoping to get away for 3 nights (direct flight from Thiruvanthapuram). Our budget is midrange (~$250 per night with 3 meals includes). We are hoping to stay in a water villa and are wondering if anybody knows of a list/site of all the resorts that have water villas. I am not aware of any such list. I can advise that Kuramathi Island (which has 3 resorts on it and is one of the cheaper options) has 2 types of water bungalow - one in the Blue Lagoon area and one in the Cotton Club (?) or whatever its called (not Village).

When you do find a bunglow make sure it has the sunset view for the bedroom because in the morning the light will be bouncing off the indian ocean and that is very bright.
