Hi, I'm looking to go with my girlfriend for about 4 days to Sicily with the main purpose of going to Mount Etna and then Taormina if there's time.
Can anybody give me information on the cheapest places in Catania, Milo, Zafferana Etnea, and Nicolosi? looking to spend no more than 40 Euros for a room (Or so I hope to anyway). I also would info on transport from Catania to upslope Etna towns/villages. The dates I'm talking about is between 12 July-20 July |

Look at www.venere.com , www.hostelworld.com and www.hostelbookers.com
Your budget is very low, for two people in high season, so you may find that only hostel accomodation is feasible. http://www.regione.sicilia.it/turismo/web_turismo/ will give you links for Sicily transport (and some suggested itineraries).

hy, how did you get on ? me and a girl are looking to do the same thing for 3 weeks in aug/september, what were prices like? ive only ever camped before on sicily.

Couldn't tell you much cos all we did was stay in a hotel on the flanks of Mount Etna in Hotel Corsaro then we went to Catania before flying home.
But in Catania if you board one of those road train things in the square you can see the city for a short space of time for only 5 euros.
