I am planning to arrive at the Bacau Airport on Monday, 15 September at 13:50 and go directly to Chisinau. Is this journey possible?

If so, are there buses and or trains? How long does it take? Any ideas about the schedules?

Would appreciate any information and suggestions.

Yes, it's possible to go straight to Chisinau. There is one direct train, leaving from Bacau after midnight (at 0.46AM) and arriving at Chisinau in the morning around 9AM.

There are also direct buses:
- one that leaves from Bacau at 2.45AM (only on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays) and arrives in Chisinau at 7.30AM.
- another earlier one which leaves at 11.30AM (so it's not much use to you);
Anyway, there might be more buses than just these two.

Thanks for the information. I can spend the day in Bacau and take the 00:46 bus to Chisinau. Sounds perfect!

Good choice - just remember that the one leaving at 0.46AM is a train, not a bus.

Yes there are at least two buses between Bacau and Chisinau daily, leaving from Bacau at 2.45AM and 11.30AM - see my first post.
