| Hartford | where to go Posted: Mon June 9, 2008 01:21 PM UTC
My family and I will be travelling from Quebec city to New York city in mid October and have 3 days and 2 nights that we can't decide where to go and what to do. We really want to go to Hartford and surrounds. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Hi there....why not take a sidetrip up to Boston, it is a few hours from NYC but at that time of the year the foliage should be at its peak and it is a very scenic trip....there is direct train service from NYC so you can sit back and relax and take in the view....bon voyage!

Hartford is about 2 hours drive from NYC, and have lots to offer. You can do some historical tours such as Amistad guided tour or visit some museums such as Mark Twain House. We have many great restaurants from American and French to Thai and Indian. Check out some VTer's Hartford, West Hartford and surrounding area pages.
By the way, in October, you'll love Connecticut with trees changing colors.
