There are two main beaches in SS, La Concha which is very sheltered and where most of the beach lovers go and is right below the preminade, and then another beach a bit north which is not sheltered and there are some waves. Most people sun and swim at La Concha. The weather in July can be sunny or rainy. On the sunny days the La Concha can be crowded and at high tide there is not much dry sand. SS has some of the best tapas (pintxo) bars I have ever eaten at. Most of these are in the old town section. As for eating in Pamplona during St. Fermin, best to check my Pamplona pages.
