Sadly there is a McDonalds right across the road as well as a number of other eateries.

Enjoy Sagrada and heed the warning - you'll be bumping into other people while you all stare at the ceiling - just amazing

Yes, there are many places, even a McDonald's restaurant is just opposite the church if your kids or you like this kind of food.

It is possible to eat "someone," but the locals look down on cannabalism.

OK, but seriously, there is a chain of Catalan sandwich shops called Pans & Co. If you walk up Avinguda de Gaudi away from the Sagrada Familia toward Hospital de Sant Pau, you will see it in the middle of the parkway (the center island). There are Pan & Co all over town. Also another, similar chain called Bocata.

My kids liked Pans when they were small and as teenagers because they could usually find things they liked. In any case, be adventurous. If you go to any bar or café you will probably find sandwiches or other things that the kids will like. Ask the waiter; Spanish kids are picky just like kids all over the world. If you go to a resaurant, you can almost always find roast chicken on the menu; kids will almost always eat that. Another sure bet is "tortilla española" (potato omelet) or "tortilla francesa" (plain omelet); usually served for lunch.

Hi there!

On a street near the Sagrada you can find the restaurant Lizarra. This is a restaurant where you have Pintxos which is "sandwich tapas" where you get the pintxo you like and the pay for the number of toothpicks (one for each pintxo). Cheap and very good! i written about the restaurant in my travelpage of Barcelona.
