Concelho de Macau 1st visit to Macau
Posted: Sun June 8, 2008 02:34 AM UTC
Hi, this is the first time we are visiting the Macau, we have 9 adults, 1 teenage (3 more weeks will be 18 yrs old)and 1 child (4 yrs old) and have only 1 day in Macau for sight seeing, hence our time is very limited. Do you think we have enough time to visit all the following places?

1)Fisherman's Wharf, is it worth visiting? What can we see and do inside the
Fisherman's Wharf?
2)St Paul ruins, is there any buses to go there from one of the casinos or
ferry teminal?
3)Is Leal Senado Square a Shopping Plaza? How to get there from St Paul
ruins? Can we bargain at this shopping complex? Is the things cheaper than
Hong Kong? What time does it open?
4)Casino, which casino should we visit? Too many casinos, not possible to visit
all. Can my teenage girl enter the casino?
5)What time is the last ferry from Macau to Hong Kong Island?

So many questions, right! Can't help it, 1st time to Macau, completely no idea about Macau? I feel that real travellers can give me a better picture and information. Sometimes, the travellers can even provide me with extra information than I expected.

Thanks in advance for the time taken!

Very recently been to Macau. Hope this information helps you.
One day is too short in my opinion to see all places and enjoy the beauty fo Macau.
Fisherman's wharf is kind of a small replicas of Tibet palace, some volcanoes,Roman arhictecture etc. Besides it has shopping malls and restaurant too. It's a good place to take pics of the bridges.
Senado square is a places to hang out and has lots of well branded shops and restaurants. At the entry, there is a tourist information centre too.In the by lanes of Senado, there are cheap eateries and shops.Seems it's cheaper thann HK.
The shops open normally around 11am.
You can visit some casinos like Lisoba, Sands, Wynn. For a person to enter a casino, he/she should be 18 years and above.
Suggest you to visit Macau tower and if you are intrested you can do space walk or bungy jumping though for me it was expensive.
Pick up lots of tourist brouchers like maps free from the airport before you leave the terminal building.
Have a ncie time in Macau.

Nelly71, thank you for the ferry operation time. I am relieved that we need not have to rush to catch the last ferry to Hong Kong.
