Suggestions please for a good, centrally situated (no car) hotel, ideally with a nice view for two midweek nights in August. Tripadvisor reviews seem widely different!!

The best hotel in town is the Meridien Grand which also has the best location - on my Nuremberg page check the hotel and the transportation tip. Don't be put off by the 4+ star rating - check the hotel discounters because unless there is something important going on you should be able to get a much cheaper rate. We did, and with a great buffet for breakfast inclusive.

The Rick Steve's guide book has several less expensive hotels in the immediate region also, considerably cheaper. Some of them we saw and they looked quite adequate.
