| Amalfi | Aussie travelling to Italy in Oct 08 Posted: Fri June 6, 2008 07:33 AM UTC
Hi all,
Just like to welcome myself to the forum:) I'm on my first overseas trip in October for 6 weeks, and the Amalfi Coast and Italy has drawn my attention. Besides the normal scenic tours, what else can people recommend? Eg. I'm a bit of a keen salsa dancer, so if certain towns have a great salsa culture I'd love to know:) I'd also like to do a few tours where I get to be active, for example a bike tour or mountain hike. Thanks! Max |

Hi Max,
If you are planning to visit the Amalfi coast, check out this link: http://www.amalficoast.com/ As for salsa dances, you might find some clubs, although salsa is a Latin American type of dance/music. While in Italy, you might want to try real Italian cuisine and also the famous drink "limoncello" Have fun, M

Hi Mitsumi,
Thanks for your post. Yes I'm aware salsa is a latin-american style dance. It is practiced worldwide though! And I've found that where I come from, dancing is a great way of meeting like-minded people. For example, I'm looking forward to possibly joining in some social soccer games when in italy! So again, thanks for your post:) Max
